1xRUN: Tell us a little bit about this image, what materials printed on and drawn with?
Bobby Hill: Each piece was individually hand-pulled with a screen print and then individually hand-painted with acrylics and various other paints on top of the screenprinted paper. Along with another image these pieces were created over a two month period that started this past September. Take notice of the colors rather than the image, even though that might be difficult to do sometimes. The colors represent what’s going on in my life at any given moment. The idea for the image came about after a little kid walked past me wearing the marshmallow man costume a couple years ago in Williamsburg Brooklyn. It was one of the funniest things I had seen in a minute.
1xRun: What is unique about this piece?
Bobby Hill: Each piece is unique because of the hand-painted colors & hand-pulled screenprinted images.
1xRun: Describe this print in one gut reaction word.
Bobby Hill: Funny.
1xRun: What else have you been up to lately? what else do you have in the works?
Bobby Hill: I just got done doing an event with a hotel in Miami during this year’s Art Basel. After the new year, I will start planning another art tour of my canvases. Aside from that, I’ll be working on a new style and finishing up a bunch of new prints that i will start releasing on my site…
1xRun: Where else can people find you?
Bobby Hill: Website
